Narrative
PAWNEE CO., OK – A crash involving a Ford Edge and a Jeep Cherokee killed one person and injured another Monday in southeast Pawnee County.
The accident occurred in the evening on US-412 westbound just east of Westport. This is south of the Arkansas River and northwest of Tulsa.
Police say that both vehicles were westbound on the highway when the Ford hit the rear of the Jeep while attempting to change lanes.
The driver of the Jeep, identified as 30-year-old Aliyah Howard, died after transport to an area hospital.
The other driver also went to the hospital but has since returned home.
A full investigation is underway.
