Narrative
NORMAN, OK – Norman police are investigating a head-on collision the claimed the lives of two people and left a child injured on Friday.
The crash took place shortly after noon, along State Highway 9 near 108th Avenue SE.
Preliminary findings from the ongoing investigation reveal that a vehicle eastbound on State Highway 9 veered across the center line, leading to a head-on collision with another vehicle traveling westbound.
The driver of the eastbound vehicle, a 72-year-old man, was pronounced deceased at the scene. The westbound car’s driver, Tiffany Murillo, 26, also lost her life due to injuries from the collision.
Furthermore, a 3-year-old girl, a passenger in Murillo’s vehicle, was transported to an area hospital and continues to receive medical care.
