Narrative
BEAVER CO., OK – A 41-year-old man died early Sunday following a multi-vehicle crash along the highway in northwest Beaver County.
The accident happened just before 1:45 a.m. on US-83 near the city of Turpin in the Oklahoma panhandle.
Police say that a car crashed into two other vehicles that had been involved in an earlier accident. One of the drivers from the first crash sustained fatal injuries. Authorities identified him as Serjio Rutiaga of Kansas.
It’s unclear if Rutiaga was sitting in his disabled vehicle at the time of the second crash, or if he was standing along the highway.
The other two drivers were not hurt in the collision.
